Coordinating Committee meetings are held quarterly. Other meetings may be held as needed. Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held in the lower level conference room at the South Lake Minnetonka Public Safety Facility located at 24100-24150 Smithtown Road in Shorewood.

The Southwest Metro Drug Task Force is a joint powers organiztion comprised of the following voting members: Carver County Sheriff's Office, McLeod County Sheriff's Office, Scott County Sheriff's Office, Glencoe Police Department, Hutchinson Police Department, Jordan Police Department, Prior Lake Police Department, Shakopee Police Department and South Lake Minnetonka Police Department.
